Michael Jackson Dead at 50

How strange that this icon should die at such a young age. When this happens to young stars such as he, it seems like a deal was struck with God (or?) and he said, "I'll give you an exciting life in which you will have tons of talent with which to gain more wealth than you can imagine. Instead of a long life, your life will burn bright but short." I wonder how many of us would choose his path if we had the chance? And what about Farrah Fawcett? She was the big news of the day until Michael's untimely death. Sad that the world has lost two stars with such talent. How do you feel about it?

WOW! The tone of this thread is so negative and disrepectful. It's amazing to me that so many people will remember MJ in such a horrid way. Quite sad, I'm thinking.

I have no real fondness for his talent or for the way he led his life but to be so disrespectful of someone who has just tragically died with his children who adored him left in limbo is not very nice to say the least. He was a sad figure who led a strange life and now those who did love him and did appreciate his talent are left bereft! I felt very sad when Lennon was murdered. Another great talent whose like was cut way too short! So I have an appreciation for the sadness.

When Farrah Fawcett God greeted her and welcomed her into heaven, He said Farrah you have been a very good person so I will grant you a wish..... Farrah replied God it is my wish that the children are kept safe............

Twenty minutes later Michael Jackson died

Not a very good one, in my opinion. I think MJ was a huge talent. His personal life was a shambles for sure. He has met his Maker and it was for Him to judge. Whatever he deserved he surely got. We must have sympathy for those left behind.

You know as sad as it is that he died at such a relatively young age I really can't imagine him getting much older. He was a boy-man. He lived a very different life and with his many plastic surgeries, some of which went awry, and his childlike nature he would not have done well living to a much older age. This way he leaves with his imagined/created self image still intact.

Interesting point cat. I tend to agree with you. As many demons as he was trying to vanquish in his personal/psychological life, I'm sure he is much more at peace now than he was in life.

I remember getting confused by the outpouring of emotions when Princess diane died in the car accident. I neve got it. this does not seem to be as crazy Plus my huntch is that therre are hundreds of millions of dollars to be made off this person's death.(I never found out how much her step father made or other pepole) that will inteest me.

He does seem to be worth a lot in death, doesn't he yichel. I'm sure people will find every way they can to milk it. I even heard that they found songs that he had recorded that had never been released. I'm sure that no one is happier than his father over the new-found way to exploit his dead son. I wish there was some way his father would receive none of it.
