Shock

Just can believe what has happen this year at school. Last summer someone came and stole 10 laptop computers-students. Just before Christmas, they broken in and stole 2 desktop computers-teachers, a projector and a personal VCR. Just last night, the thieves took a sledgehammer to the glass brick window in the sixth grade building, crawl in, torn the doors off of the mobile lab (students) and took 22 laptops. I know that work in low economic area with 90% of our students on free or reduce lunches and very high population of second language learners.but this is just too much, I feel so sad and sorry for our students, but who I feel even more so is our principal. He was our assist. principal for the past two years and became our principal this year. Welcome to the life of a principal. I hope he has a better year next year.

So sad - but please don't feel this is just do to the area you work in. My school isn't as extreme but we still have thefts and pilfering and just plain vandalism for no apparent reason. It makes me so sad that this is how some people seem to amuse themselves. - Debbie
