Answered prayer

I have a big praise to share. My step-granddaughter who is 15 has just given her life to Christ. Her other grandmother & I have been praying for her, her 7 year old brother & our x-daughter-in-law for several years. The 7 year old has been very active (when allowed to go) in the children's programs at our respective churches but his teenage sister just kept saying "I don't do church". Then low & behold, she met some christian teens at her high school who invited her to their youth group. She had been going for several months & went with them to camp last week. She called me yesterday so excited & joyfull it made me cry. She says her mom said she notices the change in her. She says she will pray for a miracle to bring her mom to want to accept Christ. (Mom is an alacholic). God always answers pray in His own time. We just have to be persistant.

Great praise report! I have a neice that has accepted the Lord - she's 13 years old, and on fire for God. Young hearts always seem to be more open to God, don't they? Seems like once folks get "set in their ways" they have a hard time changing. Thank goodness God is able to do the changing and it isn't left up to us! My neice's father is an alcoholic too, and desperately needs the Lord to work in his life. I believe he considers himself to be a Christian.

Wonderful, I rejoice with you. Our children and grandchildren need our constant prayers. I agree with you Mjoy. We need the "freshness" of the youth in our life.

That is awesome!

I know that my parents were not Christians but my G-ma was!! She was my light & I wanted to be like her. I followed the path that she modeled. No regrets.

Be encouraged Grandparents! I'm thrilled to hear this news.
