platform6,yes,we havespaghetti icecream,in any flavor you want.Naturally it is not spaghetti but it looks like it.You can make it yourself by squeezing it through a potatoe press.Or a meatgrinder using the facepiece that has all those little holes in it.Just make sure it is clean and not rusty.Guten appetit.
i forgot about that. apparently germany made ice cream an art. all types of "meal" with ice cream. im kinda plain with that stuff, but my dad and kids had a hayday with it. i have yet to find anywhere here that does that, not even in the city. (nyc)
I'm gld that ice cream is still available. I had so much fun teasing other Americans about it. When I first saw it listed on a storefront's menu, I couldn't believe it. I remember being in an ice cream parlor and noticing 2 American soldiers eating the sphagetti ice cream. It looked so real that I asked how they could stand eating cold spaghetti. After a lot of teasing, they told me the truth. I tried some and after that every time I was with an American tourist I ordered it and watched their faces when they saw me take a bite. Actually it's very good.
and my stomache. Can't eat this ice cream, because I eat it like spaghetti.
does it stay whole that long?
spaghetti ice cream, is leker, ganz ganz leker.
hier ist ice cream, eh
Some of the spaghettieis stays whole longer. It depends on where you have it. The one I tried in Austria was softer and didn't look as real as the Germany ones.
and now we are rating spaghetti ice cream. sooooo cool.
There are reruns on public TV of a travel program called "Classical Destinations" and today it was about Leipzig and Mainz. The crew travels to European cities where famous composers were born and or worked. The scenery is great even if you are not interested in the composers. The program shows 3 times per day on days that it is on. I'm not sure which days, but it sometimes follows Eick Steves' Europe program at 8 am, 2pm, and 8 pm. Central time.
I can't wait for the Christmas market shows to start. We still watch some we taped years ago.
i in general miss christmas in germany
