Much appreciated!
I had to work that day, but it was a good day.
One of my lunch mates bought me a piece of my favorite cake: red velvet. We split it 4 ways and shared it. We are ALL watching our weight. (We dread what we are seeing as we grow older!)
Another lunch mate and I had dinner together, and she bought my dinner that night. We had a fun time.
At work, our group had 3 birthdays for June, so we had an barbecue disguised as an off-site meeting (but we did have a short meeting to keep it legal), and that was tons of fun. I then had a drink with 3 of the attendees after the b-bcue.
Over all, it was a great birthday – although I strained my injured arm during a balloon game. (Won’t be getting my surgery though … as federal WC had denied all my claims.)
Again – thanks for the birthday greetings!

Here is a picture of the group I work with at the birthday/off-site meeting barbecue.
I had to edit Marcia, my supervisor; out as she was NOT smiling in the best/second picture, but WAS smiling in our first picture … but Dave had not been in the pic.
Whew! Trying to get everybody together … and smiling at one time … isn’t that always the way?
I’ve labeled the birthday people, of course.

CJ you are one year older than me. June 27th is my birthday and I have three friends who share the exact same day, plus one the day before and another the day after. We did the june birthday bash too last year. Since I was not here for my birthday we could not do it. Looks like a fun group!

My sister’s birthday is on 6/28. My best friend growing up .. her birthday was on the 16th. My friend at work is on the 17th.
I dated a guy once that had the same birthday, and grew up on a street where one of the guys up the street shared my birthday.
Small world. Must be C-O-L-D about 9 months before our birthdays, but looks like people find great ways to keep warm!
