Grrr

I just ate everything in the kitchen! I hate that! Why do I lose control like that?

WW says: " From birth on, people link food with enjoyment, affection , and nurturing. That's what comfort eating is about: a strong link between feelings and food. Some people are prone to a straight-to-the-fridge response to life's emotions, even when they don't realize it. It's simply been a lifelong habit.
Successful members have come to understand the way their emotions can make them want to eat, though, and have overcome those urges by finding non-food ways to deal with them."

Hope this helps

I hear ya Joy. It seems like the one that sabotages us the most is ourself! Why? Who knows! I know Mexican food is my biggest temptation, yet I find myself driving in there at least once a week and eating poorly! Knowing I have weigh-in in another day! Dumb, yet it happens! Don't beat yourself up. Just jump back on and start again NOW!! We'll get there!

hi, I just finished reading something in the Science section of the NYTimes today about why we lose our will power over certain foods. Dr David Kessler noted that the combination of fats, sugar, salt create in the brain a disire to eat more. Sort of being addictive to nicotine. Adele

Oh you mean like me eating that (almost) half gallon of ice cream in two days? At least it was sugar free and half the fat (Edys). Oh but wait...I also had some Edy's Spumoni Ice Cream (has sugar). I just love, love, love the stuff. For you....Could it have been emotional eating MJoy? Or was it just something you love the taste or feel of in your mouth? We all overetat sometimes. In fact, seems like it's been the rule not the exception with me lately. Don't beat yourself up....just try not to do it again anytime soon.
