I totally agree. It looks so silly. As do hair pieces. I was just at an event where Sam Donaldson spoke and his "rug" is really bad. I am sure he has the funds to get a more natural looking one. Please men, we love you as you are. Stop doing these silly things.
I wouldn't say a word unless you want to risk losing the man. If he is a good guy I would accept him "as is" comb over and all. If I wore a wig because of hair loss and a man commented negatively on it my feelings would be very hurt. Women sometimes forget that men have egos and feelings too. I have learned that it is much better for a person to have a bad hair piece than a bad character.
Yeah, but a combover? That's as bad as a mullet. Could I really love a man whose taste ran to combovers or mullets? Don't think so.
I'm not even sure I'd ever get close enough to suggest he lose the comb over. They are so off-putting that I probably wouldn't be inclined to get to know him further.
FYI...I don't like men based on their hair or lack of hair. I like a man based on his personality and a zillion other things. I've dated a couple of completely bald men. I don't care. However, I can't help that it bothers me that I find comb overs laughable and delusional, and have trouble taking its wearer seriously.
Just tell the right out you would look better bald..
Has he ASKED you about it? If not, why are you offering unwanted advice? Maybe, just maybe, if I were very close to him -- in a relationship, not just dating -- I would say something. Otherwise I'm with anakris, even though I think almost all combovers look really bad.
I wouldn't even be attracted. Actually, I think it is a distraction. No thanks.
I should say that a man with a comb over lacks confidence, something even more unattractive than the comb over.
Its hard to believe that in a life of critical issues this matters at all. So does that mean he gets to tell the woman that she needs to lose weight, get a new hairstyle, dye that gray hair or lose the garish color and not get smacked upside the head?
Could this be why so many women nowadays are referred to as "picky"? I think we had a post about this awhile back. I can't believe that something like the way a man combs his hair could possibly matter so much. If he treats you like a lady and has good character what's the problem?
