How To Post a YouTube Video

This is easy gang. Just copy and paste the following code into posts, PMs, your Widgets area...really anywhere but your "About Me" box (which does not recognize embed or object tags)......

Just replace NVkze6cn1e0 with the ID from the video you want to post. (Hint: It's in the url up in the address box when you are looking at the video on YouTube...). It has to be in BOTH places in the code or it won't work.

Here's how it looks when it's done. (OK, OK...so I get to post one of my band...poster's license...hope you like blues...)

I can't find the URL address on the video's. I've looked and looked.

Two ways to do this...

METHOD 1:

Copy the code in the post and substitute the video's ID in place of the one in the example. The ID is at the top of your browser in the address bar; it ends with...

watch?v=nnnnnnnnnnn

ex:

watch?v=NVkze6cn1e0

Just fill in the ID of the video you are watching on YouTube...the one you want to post.

METHOD 2:

When you're watching the video you like on YouTube, look to the right of the player and you will see a box entitled: EMBED. Just click in that box to highlight the code, right-click copy and then paste the whole code segment where you want it to go. Simple.

Hmmm, I had no problem putting a video in my profile today, but I can't seem to put one in a post. I used your code, but I must have made a mistake somewhere. I put the video code JipqGRzo0oM in the 2 places in the script, and I didn't change anything else. It's all below this message, but you can't see it. :)

There's not supposed to be a blank space before the ID of your video. The example got screwed up on posting. Try that.

Hi out there. You have been soooo helpful in the past. Now I am having a blonde moment. I am trying to get to YOU TUBE. It brings up dada.net. I did however copy and paste the code you provided..THANK YOU. Now I am not sure where I am going wrong?? Any help would be appreciated..Thank You.. : )

In reply to Cattyeyes, I have also had the problem you had using the correct code from Blueplayer but the video would not appear. In my case the code on YouTube had something wrong with it. I found the same video posted from a different person and it worked fine. So if you have this problem again try to find the video from a different YouTube poster.
