3rd Thursday

....since I became serious. 7 lousy lbs!!!!
I have been so so so good. Adding so many veggies
to my foodplan...fish....only cheating has been
couple of drinks out on the boat. Have taken all my
foods whenever we go...I am really so surprised how
slowly it is going. 7 lbs in 3 weeks. Of course, I
know slow & steady wins the race. I taught WWs for 7
years back in late 70's early 80's. I had classes of
100 & some.....I know how to do it. The old WWs is
truly the way....good food, lots fruit, vegies, fish
& water. The new WW....to much on it...they give you
everything you just substitute points etc. hum bug.
If we could eat everything....we wouldn't be fat.
I wish they still had the "little pink booklet club"
and we could all join & meet together for inspiration...
how many of you remember that! I had scads of 100 lb
losers...folks really did it! Ok, I can still do it...
let's pretend we're meeting!!!!
Off to print off more food journals & measurement chart
for the new week. I think these "chores" to do are
important....how about you?

I totally agree that it is important to use a food journal. To me, it helps me realize that I am the one that is responsible for what I eat.
We can have all kinds of excuses....but the bottom line is that it is up to us. I know that there may be times when we are stuck somewhere and there isn't anything on our plan, we can still make better choices.

For me, I have to have food ready to eat. Like I cut up some cataloupe and put it in containers in the fridge and I have grapes too. That helps me to make a better decision. I can't deceive myself and say "oh I didn't have anything to eat so I ate....whatever." I think we all know better, but we can fall for our old thinking really easily. Amazing how powerful the mind is.

I got rid of 20 pounds awhile ago and I am maintaining that. But I need to get rid of more. I know that I will feel better if I do.
