THE DOG ATE IT !!

What a hectic morning ,after working into the late hours last night to get
my entries ready for the county fair,i went to bed feeling pretty good. I had baked a rumcake,Triple crown pie, made fudge and a batch of Peanut butter Pebbles
cookies which are kinda like a s'mores and baked a beautiful batch of golden brown
corn muffins. After carefully cooling and wrapping of all the goodies the dogs and i went up stairs to bed,i thought wow if i get up at six i can finish the other goodies i planned to bake and put the basket of veggys and herbs together with plenty of time to spare
before the 10 am deadline.
Upon arrising i put my coffee on and took the dogs out for their ritual,we came back in and i filled the water and food bowls, well no one acted interested in food but drank like
a camel, the radar went up because usually Hannah and Sadie both cannot wait for
breakfast.
Remember the beautiful golden brown corn muffins and the Peanut butter Pebbles
that i had carefully packaged for entering this morning? Well let me tell you all that was left were a few crumbs on the flooor along with the plate and the Ziploc bag. After a few choice words and some active scolding it was back to the kitchen and the race with the clock was on to remake corn muffins and back the apple cinnamon muffins and the
Dutch oven apple pie,and put the basket together along with the herb arrangement..
Thanks to two very guilty acting canine food bandits i did not even have time for a decent cup of coffee......But i did beat the clock and got all 10 of my entries in on time.
The food bandits slept it off while i was out getting the entries in and are now looking at me like they did nothing wrong, they better go hide while i finally have my coffee.

Oh noooo Anna. I am glad you had time to make your entries over again. I am sure in a few days it will be a funny story to tell, just not today. Good luck with the judges at the county fair.

Now you know to lock them up when leaving food out. Like I said. It is going to seem funny in a few days.

You had better hope that those two have not learned to unlock doors no telling what can happen if they do

If they were in my house, they might have become hot dogs after that escapade!! I know what it is like to get fair entries ready.
