Biking

As a spinning instructor it's natural to progress to the outdoors. I bought a nice Cannondale road bike and have enjoyed the exhilarating experience of road biking!

Yesterday did 40 miles at an average of 16 mph on a beautiful spring day. Recently, I've been working on aerobic base building starting about 9 weeks ago and continuing for another month.

I'm still running, but find that despite being very active I have no knee issues.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar has a great body. What just a few of you know is that he likes cycling. I have read on Project Weight Loss how to can lose weight cycling. In 2005 Gosselaar competed for track cycling in the Far West Championships. Cycling has lots of benefits like weight management, it improves your mood, your fitness program, it’s good for your heart and maintains strength and coordination.

Biking is the greatest! The wind in your face and the sun on your back. It always makes me feel better when I ride. I wish it would stop raining so much. We've had a terribly wet Spring and early summer, so I haven't been able to get out as much.

We have had nothing but rain, rain, rain here in New York. I have not been able to walk at the park this week. It seems more rain is in the horizon. C'est la vie!

Spinning is a great alternative when Mother Nature weather is not cooperative.

Last Sunday did a 52 mile ride averaging 15.5 mph. Today playing golf (walked and carried clubs) then rode 37 miles later in the afternoon.... Total calories burned about 3300...

Am hooked!
