Memoris of a Geisha

Dictated to Arthur Golden. This is pretty much what it says, the memories of a Geisha from before WW2 when she was a child, through the war and then after. Now I know what a Geisha really is. Interesting and also interesting to read about a different culture and especially back then. It keeps you hooked and is a good read. Had it around about 4 years and finally got to it - this should be an easy one to find on Bookmooch or the used bookstore as it was very popular 5 or 6 years ago.

I read it a few years ago. I found it impossible to put down. I shared it with a number of friends-male and female- and they were all just as entertained and fascinated by it.

This was a fascinating book. Reading it was like being immersed in the life of this particular geisha.

I enjoyed this book a lot too - interesting characters and lots of twists and turns of fate in addition to all of the fascinating information about the lives of geisha and pre-WWII Japan.
