Get rid of all the padding in the sex scenes and the slow-as-a-snail pace of those novels. Turn the cowboy into a sexy vamp, who loves sex every day, and you’ve got Jake Brand. This is what a cowboy should be, ladies. Yup, Parks got it right. He is very Uber-Alpha, yet also a really nice guy. And you’ll love this. Instead of calling women “darlin’,” he calls them “sweet thing.” Yeah, he’s a keeper for sure, and finds his mate in Santa Fe.
I didn’t think Parks could top Jake, but she did in the next novella “Bite Me Again.” Here we meet a classy English vamp, Thomas Ward, who is 400 years old and has a heart of gold. No kidding. What a sweetheart! He also finds his mate in Santa Fe.
This is truly the best vamp erotica I have ever read and definitely goes on my Keeper Shelf. These guys are totally yummy, and the sex is hot! Especially Thomas. Hey, that man could turn me into a vamp any day. All I can say to him is BITE ME, boink me, and then do it again. Yeah, I could handle an eternity of that. *naughty grin*
