Calling all Members! Please check in and say hi!

CHECKING IN Pictures, Images and Photos

Please check into the group and let us know what you are doing and how things are going right now for you. We all take for granted that if we don't hear from someone for a week or so, things must be going okay, but let's not take that for granted anymore. So if you would, please just take a minute to tell me you are okay and just what is happening in your life. Can't wait to hear from all of you!
Hugs,
Kathy

♥Everything is A-OK here♥ Thanks for asking. The only thing is that I'm beginning to feel a little soggy with all this rain we've been having. Hope everything is alright with you too.

Take good care of yourself, and have a good evening.
♥Hugs♥ Pat

My life is not worse or better...just different. And I am learning to fit into this new life as a widow and focus on new and interesting things. Still have my love tucked in my pocket. His influence will always remain a part of the new me. There is new joy in discovering this different world. Some days good, some days bad...but the good are outnumbering the bad. Still have lotsw of love left over. Hope to find someone some day to share a life again.

I just joined this group 2 minutes ago. My wife of over 33 years died of a massive stroke on Jan.1,2009. I am taking it one day at a time, but it's rough. I have yet to learn the "new" me or the "new" normal. I am a 61 year old retiree. Staying busy is very important for me. I did go to the health club this PM and I do feel better. I have lost over 65 lbs since Beverly's death which is a good thing. I call it " My widower's Grief Diet". It sure sucks, but it works! My condolences to everyone in this group that no one wanted to join. Life goes on, but what a trip

at the moment doing okay - of course, that could change. Tomorrow is nineteen months and I have come to the realization that he is NOT coming home.... ever. It's time to pack his clothes and give them to someone else to use. Kidney Foundation comes on Monday. So.... it may be a tough weekend, but it needs to be done. The other stuff I will sell (like the brand new back-pack he had bought, and packed for that camping trip he didn't get to make) or give away to friends.

The good thing to report is that my mind has cleared - FINALLY. I am now able to function properly at work and my memory has returned. I guess you could say... the fog has lifted. That is the best thing I can say. I still miss him (and "me") terribly, but at least I can function normally and the tears don't come as often or as fierce. The mood swings are tough, but they too are getting softer.

It really does get better with time.

I'm accepting things as they come my way...times are lonely but know know I'm the only one able to change this. Health problems have me in limbo at this time. Will have decisions to make and know more by the end of this month. I check in and read every now and then but leave off replying because of stress in choosing proper reply!

God bless all, Dorelle
