What type of e-book are you using?
Is it a kindle from Amazon?

I have a first generation Kindle, and I love it. My husband, who originally said he'd never use one, just bought his own. The thing I love best is being able to make the books large print. The thing I like least is losing my place. I've also had some problems with text disappearing and having to learn how to reset it (there's a tiny hole in the back that you have to push with a pin or paperclip). But,on the whole, it's great for vacation reading (no hauling ten paperbacks), wonderful for getting new books quickly and reasonably priced, and one of my favorite techno-toys.
yes,I have a kindle. I have the 2nd generation i wss surprised how easy it is to use. I wasn't sure is I could use the wireless in the house, but have no trouble at all it is so neat to order a book and have it in minutes!
I just got my kindle2 about to weeks ago. So far I really like it. I downloaded "The Last Child" and read it. However, a co-worker gave me a paperback (John Grisham's "THe Appeal") to read so now I am reading that before I go back to using my kindle.
What happens when you finish the book? Do you erase it? It sounds like a good idea - hard for me to hold books at times, and try to stay away from big/heavy books now. How much do they run?
when yhou finish a book and don't want it you can delete it. if you ever want to read it again you can just have it put back on amazon keeps a record of all your books really neat setup the more i use it the more i like it. i bought a leather cover for it to protect the screen
Here's a link to the Amazon ad:
view link The item looks really nice.
I looked on eBay and the prices there are the same as buying it from Amazon, unless Amazon charges for the shipping. eBay has some with free shipping.
I have heard about the Kindle but I enjoy going to the library and looking at the books, so many times I find an old book by someone I just found that I like. Libraries are nice place to go esp. on rainy days and my grandchildren also enjoy looking at all that is there. They sometimes hit the non-fiction secion and looks on their faces at the new information and knowledge it great.
I not a big tech person. I would like to stand on the bridge and toss the cell phone in the Ohio River on some days.
Happy reading to all
I have my Kindle and I use the library. The two aren't mutually exclusive. But, on a long weekend, when I've read through every book I've got, I'm grateful for the download capabilities. Also, when I want the newest book, and the library reserve list is too long, Kindle is cheaper than buying the hard copy. There is also a huge "library" of old books to pick from.
