Yes that is needed. I delete photos and add them again to get the order I want. Kind of cumbersome way to do it.

WTG medoohsa Great idea. I would like personal member pics grouped together on our group site, or maybe all pets together vs scenic etc

yes i've been deleting and adding too but have to many pics now - AND it's a pain in the neck

Me again. I've submitted this post to be boomed. Maybe if some of you folks would back me up and it was boomed, we could get some attention paid to it and the techno-gods would see would they could do.
It wouldn't hurt to try . . .
Organization of personal (or group) media collections is relatively high on the Eons to-do list. It's not an insignificant challenge, design-wise. We could use the help of all our Eons Advisors. Tell us what you want to do with your photos (and videos and widgets). Give us your opinion about which features are mandatory and which "would be nice."
So far, I sense that ordering the photos would not be enough. We need to be able to group the photos into "sets" or "albums" (any opinions on terminology are also welcome!) Each of these sets would need its own title, description and "cover image."
(Which reminds me: Wouldn't it be nice if each photo had a title *and* an optional, longer description? )
Holy moly, tallbob! I don't want to do all of that. I just want to be able to group all the pictures my boychild has taken into one group - say at the bottom of the pictures, then the next grouping would be pictures of my children, then the next grouping would be pictures of my grandbaby. In Picasa, I have two web albums. I have Maizie's First Year and I have Maizie's Second Year. I can sort them chronologically. The only "caption" on them are the captions I put on the photos in here. My son has website with lots of different albums. Would you be interested in taking a look at it?
