STUBBORN

Are you yourself or the clay more stubborn???

I was trying to do a sculpture of my first try at an animal and nooooo cooperation from the stoneware white clay - geez!!! Maybe at my age, patience is just not for me anymore - virtue or not : )

I bought mine from a pottery supply store in New England'''Sheifield Pottery. They sell them in 1lb bags. You don't need very much..i still have plenty left and it's been 8 yrs since i bought the bag. I think they have a web site.

Thanks, Muddie! Have to take a short trip to visit my mother in Indiana next month, shall see if I can find N.E. Sheffield Pottery on Google and get them to send me a bag to her address.

I would have been glad to mail you some of mine if i hadn't packed it already for our move. I could have sent some in an envelope for you to try out.

For Scottie, Since you were going to Indiana I thought I'd check the Brickyard and AMACO but it appears they don't carry it. My search did turn up Continental Clay in Minneapolis, Minnesota which has it for $5.50 a half lb. Also if you search Clayart they have a couple of discussions on pluses and minuses of working with the stuff.
