Thanks for the welcome! It's bad enough there is a Michaels Really close by for me to get into trouble ... but now I discovered a Hobby Lobby just down the road - they have an impressive bead section. I'm definitely a goner. :)
Know what you mean... I was at Wal Marts earlier.. they have some new beads.. but.. I was able to leave without any of them... but I might just go back tomorrow... I'd like to have a shop to go to and just learn new things...
There are several beading shops around here that give lessons. Our Meet-up group is going on a tour sometime in June. I should really get into trouble then!
Funny you should mention Walmart ... I stopped there this evening with my husband -- I needed a plastic box big enough to fit my beading board to put all my beading stuff in so I could take it to our meetup group meeting. Well - there was this string of beautiful amber beads and some wonderful shiny tiny copper beads. So, now I have more beads, AND a neat box that has several small round containers with lids to keep the tiny findings in AND a large plastic storage box to plop everything in to take with me to my meetings AND another stackable storage unit. [yippee].
LOL...
Yep!... I go to garage sales and find a lot of plastic containers... once I found and bought a really neat plastic container with a lid that opened up seperate from the trays.. then.. a drop down door with 3 drawers for placing things in... all had dividers... for only $3.00.. never been used.. also.. in the bottom drawer there was "hardware" .. 2 plastic covered hooks.. metal door knobs.. never used...
that was my best find...
Thanks for the welcome message. I haven't been on the site for months since I've had company from out of town and been really busy. I appreciate your message. Judith
