I am a newbie to investing. How I do read a company financial report to determine if they are paying dividends to the stockholder?

Try Google. Just enter their ticker or name and you will find all of the info that you seek.

I use Yahoo finance. Tons of useful factoids when you punch in the ticker symbol.

Another idea. Make a "My Yahoo" page and list the ticker symbols of equities you are interested in there. Then, all you have to do is access that page to see all the current prices listed (yes, updated during the day) and the symbol becomes a link that will take you to charts with info links galore.
