Several of my groups are slow now and have been for at least a couple of months. It seems like the Germany group is only a little busier.
I am interested.

I have been busy here preparing for this move to Whistler. This was forced on me by the government who has expropriated my home. After living here 15 years it has become quite an emotional issue. One thing Whistler has is plenty of Germans in town, preparing for the upcoming Olympics. They have taken over one of the local hotels providing their own Chefs and flying in familiar food. Many opportunities to practise my language skills. Considering the resources they are supplying I am sure they will be strong contenders in most of the medal categories. Lots of employment opportunities for those who do speak German. Whistler has not seen the recession yet.

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't contributed, but I do keep up with the posts. I would like to know more about what's happening in Whistler?
I'm heading off to see my family next month, just a little southeast of Munich. It will be interesting to hear the news of this recession from their point of view. Have a good day!

Well if presence is anything I am sure Germany will be a huge success in Whistler this Feb. They are strong in virtually every discipline. I will be there rooting for them. Here is an introductory link to Whistler, in German of course.

Please don't give up on us. I know that personally I have a lot of outside work to do at this time of year and not on the computer as much as I used to be, and perhaps that's the case with others also. We definitely want to hear about your preparations for your trip and then hear all about it when you return. I'm hoping to go in August and am frantically trying to learn to speak more German before then. Reading Bergzabern's link to Whistler makes me realize I have a long way to go, but I will enjoy trying to read it. Even if there isn't a lot of activity in the group, it's a group very dear to many of us.

What part of Germany are you going I can't what to hear about your trip. My son told me to start saving for a trip in a year from now. I was born and raised in Munchen til I was 9. My Oma raised me til I was adopted and came to America at age 11. Blessings
