Not an auction, but looking good

For all of you who know about Auctiva -- now, there's Auctiva Commerce. There are no auctions; there are stores. It's an interesting concept and completely outside of eBay. They say it takes five minutes to set up a store; figure 500 hours. Anyway, if you get in before the end of July, the basic monthly charge will be $9.95 for life.

I'm still trying to put my place together, make it look decent, get the google feeds and google analytics going, add items, etc. Most have been at it since January; I've just been doing this for a few weeks. Check it out if you'd like. My URL is: view link . The main URL for Auctiva Commerce is view link .

Right now I have only some jewelry, replacement CPAP supplies, and a few other items; I'll be adding some textbooks in a few days. Shortly, I expect to add custom sewing, custom crafts, custom woodworking and metalworking, personal products, and even a 5-axis CNC mill for hobbies along with custom programming. There will probably be a 2-axis CNC mill and may even be a 3-axis CNC mill and a 4-axis CNC mill; we're still working on this.

I *have* found something different about eBay. It's now very easy to talk to them via phone and online chat. What a difference! The hold time is about one minute except on rare occasions.

The site sounds interesting, but I'm a sporadic seller and $9.95 per month would be cost prohibitive to me. I wonder if ebay is having some financial trouble? The seem to be more receptive but they still, as far as I know, have not fixed the feedback problem where buyers can leave negs, but sellers can't.
