Gimp 3D-Pop-Out Effect by Prideinwork
Our second hands-on tutorial will be a video by Prideinwork showing how to create a 3d pop out effect using Gimp. He uses a transparent new layer to draw a picture frame around the subject matter. He demonstrates the method of creating the frame using the "shrink" function. The perspective tool is used to help give the 3D effect. A white mask is added to the background image to allow for an easy way to remove unwanted background information with the use of the paint brush in black mode. The eraser tool is used to removed unwanted parts of the frame. Check it out inside....
