Layers ~ Hands-on Learning
For those of you who have been following along with the Layers tutorial this will be a break from the book learning to hands-on learning. We will choose tutorials that will affirm the basics we have already learned and present practical applications of the use of layers in Gimp. It is time we start having some fun!
Our first tutorial will be a video by Malgalin and he will show us how to do some "Pop Art" with Gimp. He will be using the multiply and overlay layers in this project. We will be painting on a transparent layer in the multiply mode. We will also learn how to change a color image into a black and white sketched. We will will be using the "newsprint" filter to enhance the final product.
