Hi,

So there are some of you out there!! I never made it out of Ohio this past Winter (really long story that would only bore you!!). My travel mate (Jake the Scottie dog), is having a few health problems so once I get that under control I'm headed out to somewhere. Have a safe trip back to Iowa and thanks for responding!

I'm getting ready to leave central CA in 3 weeks for a trip to San Antonio. Really looking forward to it.

Hey I am from NC, have been a member here since last Aug.There have been little posting on this site since I have been a member. I am on the other RV site and there isn't much chat on that one either...Now that the weather is warming up I will be on the road more so there want be much chat out of me ..ha I just return yesterday from Ocracoke Island, nice little layed back village had a 2 hour ferry ride both ways ..alot of time to sort thru thoughts..The NAT.Park has 136 sites.. alot of them back up to the sand dumes ... over the dumes there is the ocean .It would be worth putting this trip on your to do list ..Happy miles to you....Deanna

Yes, the Outer Banks of North Carolina is a really great place. Have spent time there every Summer for several years. Assateague Island in Maryland has a great State and National Park within the dunes and right on the ocean. Wild horses wander through the camp as well as run on the beach.

I am definitely ready to hit the road (or actually the campground). I am taking my trailer into the shop to make sure it's "road ready" next week, and then I'm off to Kerr Lake (Oklahoma) for a couple of weeks in May. However, that is just 30 miles from where I live, and because of work and other obligations, I will be back in town on four of the ten nights I will be parked at the lake. How far away does one have to go to get away from it all? Annie

Annie, I think just making it out of your driveway is a good start to getting away from it all.

Already have been camping for ten days at Oolagah Lake here in OK as kind of a "shake-down" after winter storage. Now getting ready for trip to San Marcos, TX in July and then a trip to S.E. Michigan for five weeks for my Class Reunion, MIS Race and birth of my newest great-grandchild.
I am even considering a few months in TX this winter so I don't have to watch my RV sit in storage.
