Conserving the Pantanal, experiences or advice?
Hi, I'm signed up for my first expedition, which is, to be honest, the first time I'll have ever been outside of the US in the flesh... after all, books and the internet can only get you so far.
I'm going to be going on the Conserving the Pantanal trip, but it is also listed as the Wildlife of Brazil expedition, it just depends on where you look. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had been on this particular trip at some point, or on one of the expeditions to the area, in Brazil, and if so, would you be interested in talking/sharing your experiences or any advice you may have to give me?
Also, doing some reading about what the research project that I'll be a part of actually does, and goes towards, which is a large system of interconnected organizations trying to help research and conserve the Pantanal, how much does the research of the projects actually DO to help conserve this one of a kind place and habitat?
Thanks, one way or another!
