Layers Dialog Tutorial

I feel layers is one of the most important aspects of GIMP to learn. It is because of this belief that I feel it would helpful to examine the GIMP documentation in more detail than we did for the Toolbox items. I have reformatted the GIMP documentation for Layers Dialog and we will go through it step by step as we add comments and notes to help make it easier to understand the items in this documentation. ~gJ

Layer modes
The layer mode determines how the layer interacts with the other layers. From the combo box you can access all the modes provided by GIMP. The layer modes are fully detailed in Section 2, “ Layer Modes ”.

Thanks Rich, when reformatting the Gimp doc I had to do a find and replace function for all of the links, had a glitch in that process, corrected the links but missed this one. I will make that a good link shortly.
