My first sighting was in 1967. I was 13 at the time and was standing on the front porch with my little sister at about 1:00 in the afternoon. She was looking off the other way and I was looking out over the cornfield to the north when a silver disk perhaps 40 ft. in diameter came flying over the field not 200 yards from me and only about 80 feet off the ground.
There was no sound of an engine, although I could hear it splitting the air and could see a slight vapor coming off the leading edge of it much like that from the wings of maneuvering fighter aircraft. The upper hull of the craft was shaped at a steeper angle than the lower hull, it was bright silvery metallic, clearly a manufactured craft and not any sort of natural phenomenon. I did not see a dome on the top of the craft.
It disappeared over the wood lot to my left.
It was well over 40 years before I told anyone about it. I had no reason to tell anyone, I was the only one who had seen it, and I really didn't know what to say about it at all or what to make of it. This was long before I'd ever heard of anything about UFO's.
Since then I've seen UFO's on two other occasions. I don't talk much about them to anyone, having already been viciously ridiculed for it on one forum.
I have seen 6 or 7 ufos over the last 1 1/2 years. I saw my first two in april of 2008. It looked like an unusually bright light or star in the east. As I continued to look at it, it was as if it sensed me looking at it, and it started moving backing and forth and up and down and sidewsay, as if to say, "yes, you are seeing a ufo." Then the light suddenly turned into two flying vehicles, that were just floating in a stationary position but the only part I could see of the vehicles, was a V strand of lights in the front, because it was dark, and I couldnt see the rest of the vehicle. About the time I decided they must be some kind of new military jets, the first ufo broke formation and turned to a horizontal position and turned all its lights on, so that I could see it was domed shaped, with strobe lights going around the ship in a clockwise motion. Then it turned a huge purplish/white light on in the bottom of the ship and I could see the rays shining down. There seemed to be some circular open shape around the light but I didnt see any movement. Then as suddenly as the lit ufo turned its lights on, it turned them off, and returned to a position behind the first ufo. They both flew a little farther and then dissappeared. They never made an noise and the vehicles got as close to me as 30 or 40 feet as they were flying off in a nw direction. I never felt scared at all.
Hi everyone. I saw a UFO in I believe the year was 1992. Actually, there were two of them flying parallel to one another. My ex-wife and I were in Orlando Florida for a couple days before heading off to the Kennedy Space Center to see the launch of the last Titan III rocket. Anyway, I was sitting in a lounge chair poolside at our hotel stargazing. I've been an amateur astronomer for close to 30 years. As I was looking up looking for familiar constellations, all of a sudden I saw these two orange-colored small spheres shoot across the sky and then just stop in midair. Then they moved backward in unison at about a 20° angle to their flightpath, stopped again and then moved in the same direction as their original flightpath due south.
I have never seen anything move that fast through the air in my life, let alone stop on a dime at that velocity in midair. It was like the zig-zag pattern that Thomas mentioned. I'm an experienced astronomical observer, familiar with all kinds of astronomical, atmospheric and artificial phenomena, and I'm telling you this was nothing natural nor any kind of aircraft with which I'm familiar (and I'm familiar with just about everything we have in the air). Just the G-forces alone entailed in the maneuvers that this thing made would kill a human being. So either the objects were unmanned or were utilizing technology that is far more advanced than anything I know about in aeronautics. When I talked to locals the next morning, instead of thinking I was nuts, they told me that these sitings were very common in the area. I don't know what it was I saw exactly, but either we have some very advanced black-ops projects going on or these things were extraterrestrial in origin. I have no way of knowing which is the case, but it's an experience that I will never forget. A couple of days later I got to see my first shuttle launch. I'm not sure which experience was more exciting. lol
