Funding - Always a problem!
The Small Business Administration has made advances as a result of the Obama White House's push to obtain better capital opportunities for Small Business. Unfortunately, it may not meet the needs of the average Businessperson.
The key may now be more reliance on Private Investors. Who has confidence that the Banks will comply to the Obama initiative? Now, the big question: Who has confidence in the Stock Market, despite the current upswing in the DOW? Raise your hands...
Not many, I see.
You are not alone. But people are looking to make investments - they have to. We are finding more "Angel Investors" are on the market. They are looking for opportunities to invest their money in areas they can see and better understand, which may mean your local Business, itself.
Think about contacting your family members, friends, look into investment groups that may be open to you making a presentation about your Company.
One of these investment groups is in our area, and involves ten people sitting around in a diner, one day each month. They are local, Small Business Owners, and last week they liked a Business they saw, and wrote a collective check to the Borrower for $250,000!
Think outside of the box, and look around!
