A lot has happened since I last posted. Before January 3rd of this year, I was so busy, I didn't have time to do anything. On January 3rd, I got a phone call that changed everything. My husband was working in New York state and his boss called me to say that he had suffered a grand mal seizure and was in the hospital. I had talked to him 5 minutes before this happened. Our son and I headed for NY from Missouri at 2 the next morning. Ron was pulling into the parking lot after having lunch when his boss and roommate heard a crash and Ron had hit another car and was actively seizing. They broke a window to get him out and called 911. He continued to seize there in the parking lot, in the ambulance and in the ER until they gave him drugs to stop the seizure. They didn't expect him to live through the night.
After 5 days in ICU, he was released and we brought him home. They ran just about every test known to man, I think, and found no reason for the seizure. There is no personal history nor family history of seizures in the family. He's doing much better than he was while in the hospital but his immediate memory is shot. He'll ask me the same thing over and over and never remember what he asked or what I answered. He can no longer work nor drive and I can't leave him alone. Since his memory is so short, it would be too risky.
On top of this, the people we joined with to open the new flea market are kicking us out because I can't be there at this point to help with the work. Unfortunately, I'm having to get an attorney. A loan against my car is what started the business and that has to be cleared before I'll bow out gracefully. They are also on our cell phone plan so I have to get those phones back, and numerous other things (including my desk) are being used by the business. Needless to say, I will no longer be a "flea market seller." My heart just isn't in it any longer after everything has happened.
I just wanted you to all know what has transpired.
