I've been watching that Yahoo group, Amazzen; that's where I learned of two of the three other sites I mention here. Can you tell me why people have been so excited over Gozbay and whether or not it comes back? I can't see any reason to say they were better than iOffer or Bonanzle; I haven't, though, been able to sell anything on Webstore. Then, again, I wasn't able to sell anything on Gozbay; and there were always problems with its functionality -- problems I've never seen on either iOffer or Bonanzle.

The original 2000 or so really got to feel like family.Everyone wanted each other to successed as well as the site. We were starting to sell.I sold 8 items. The fact that Zack was only 16 may have been a factor.

Hmmm...never heard of iOffer, but I'm getting plenty tired of ebay and their ever-escalating fees.

I'm pretty much afraid to do anything on eBay except buy, Michibilly. The idea that sellers can't leave negative feedback bothers me greatly. iOffer is a bit strange; everything between buyer and seller until the deal is done (and then if the writer wishes it) is out in the open. A firm price can be stated, an offering price can be stated (offers accepted), an item can be listed with no price -- make an offer; prices can be negotiated. It's not an auction; there are no listing fees and items stay up until removed. Fees are based on sale and shipping, but are less expensive overall that eBay's.

Bonanzle is similar to what Gozbay was except a seller can also schedule a sale for a particular number of hours and hang in there or not -- whichever -- negotiating, answering questions, or not during that period. Items stay up until they're removed. Also, it's similar to iOffer in that a seller can accept offers without listing a minimum one. There are no listing fees; there's up to $10 off the shipping cost figured when the selling fees are determined. The fees are based on the total, but are less expensive than iOffer's.

Both give you the option of open sale, booth at no cost, or both.

Webstore will automatically relist up to 99 times and there are no fees at all; there are free booths. I don't remember any of the other details.

I think all three have fees for special sorts of listings although at least one of them (I don't remember which or how many) allows you at no charge to specify items that will show up on their opening pages; the order of all of the specified ones on the site are rotated as there are pages of them.

Whoops! Grammar -- I meant the order *is* rotated. :)

I'm going to add another auction site view link

I opened a store there, you can offer auctions or fixed price and auctions can run for 30 days if you so choose. I've sold a few things there in the 6 weeks I've been there. Right now there is no fees, listing or selling but all auctions must start at least $5.00.

I'm not sure I would go back to a site that is run by a child and can just dump you at any time. When I lived in Seattle, I used an ISP called Bazillion.com. I got an email on Friday night saying that they had closed their doors. I had to scramble to get another IPS and notify my contacts, etc. This isn't a big deal when you choose to change ISPs, but when one just dumps you, it's an issue. I was out of town and didn't read the email until I got home the following Thursday and had no idea how many emails I missed. About nine months later Bazillion contacted me to tell me that my account was set to be activated the following Monday...nope. Once you get unceremoniously dumped, you are not too likely to attract a lot of old or new business.
