techiee learning.

I was wondering if anyone would know of a solid way of learning programming. I am interested in learning this and maybe, with luck, get a entry position in a company that handles such things. But first, does anyone know what to take at 55 to change a carreer?

I have picked up some manuals on Python, C, C++, and some Ruby. I know it is a long shot, but with my disabilities I couldn't think of something else so far. Any thoughts would greatly be appreciated.

Hi Beekers,

I think I'd stay away from C C++ etc, and go for a niche environment, but I'd first suggest you go to a local tech employment agency / head hunter and ask where the demand is for programmers which are difficult to fill.

I'd look at FLASH or similar especially if you also have drawing skills. There are good training videos for Flash.

Python is an excellent way to start.
