Just put up a suet feeder and 2 small woodpeckers
seem to be enjoying it ,I put in pure suet and they like it
they are really a great bird to watch

The woodpeckers are one of our favorites at the feeder. We have downy woodpeckers and hairy woodpeckers, and this summer we had a pileated woodpecker take territory in the woods behind our house. He is very shy, though, and does not come to the feeders. We hear his call (Like a laugh)and glimpse him only occasionally.
