Afternoon all! Welcome home, my dear hearts, welcome home!
Where do I start? The phone’s been ringing off the wall… Bringing updated info to this sweet lil ol lady. (would I lie?) Well just might or not! Lolol
The very good! The raccoon was not rabid… at least not in the preliminary exam of spinal fluids… Now, a 30 day wait for the final report…
I’ve finished filling out the income tax papers and the envelope is sitting in the mail box for tomorrow’s pick up…
Now, we all know I am dyslexic… especially bad with numbers… Don’t read well either… (I am one of the reasons God invented tax preparers)…Well, kids, I started on the standard deductions work sheet last nite on the 1040A.
I don’t think I’m allowed to quote word for word but the following should give you the idea.
If you have placed a one in box 3A, then go to box 15B, C or D… Depending on which box you WOULD (? ..mycaps) choose on the 1040 form, if you use that form, place a specified amount in box, 2, 4, or 5. Should the specified number be two or less, put an x in box 1.5D on the 1040A. This information only applies on even numbered days on the 2005 calendar…See page ## but only if it is a Wednesday!
This only comes around once a year, right?!? I certainly hope so! Sheesh. Later today, I need to find some papers from Social Security (last year’s). If it ain’t one; it’s the other!

I made my very first mini-Broom for OlBear… He is such a brat… His Broom stands there to give him a heads up whenever he, the bear, misbehaves! Lolol Bear is really scared of me… the KK and LittleEva! And rightfully so cause we tell on him! Lololol

“Did you know many people in Kentucy have lost the electrical power and their water too?
Do you live near Kentucy?
If so fill your bathtub with water and your light bulbs with electrity , just in case.

Lordy pete, what a brat! And y’all thot I was joking… Does anyone see/detect a note of sympathy in the above message? I don’t think so! However, corresponding with the Marv does have it’s benefits… just what they are, the benefits, I have no idea… still searching! Gotcha rotten kid!
I finally slept well and seem to be recovering from the stress of the rabies scare… In case you missed it, the preliminary report came back negative… My critters are ok and will not have to be put down… Whew… two weeks plus an additional 30 days is a long time to hold your breath… I do not handle this type of thing at all well and recovery times vary…Sometimes this old war horse can be on the fragile side…
Oh gee… Brooms… somebody asked me about my mini brooms and the makings. Ok, here goes: Gather wild grasses… soak in water over nite… Cut sections of Mimosa or Pear branches … length should be 3 to 4 inches in length.. pencil size in diameter. Take a 16 inch section of bailing twine or some type of macramé cord (if you want to add color)
Use a safe type glue… Elmer’s or similar.
Now comes the hard part…
Take the damp grasses… lay out flat… place center of grass across middle of cord… add thin strip of glue… tie bundle to bottom of wooden ‘handle’ .. fold upper grasses toward the bottom section of grass. Then wrap and tie off, then trim off excess… place broom near/over heat vent to help drying. I hope I didn’t miss anything here… any questions, just ask!
Sorry guys, I know that was boring for you. You just have to put up with us women sometimes… lolol
I know I am running late… trying to catch up… I seem to get worse as I get older…
The weather here is improving, thank goodness… and the power has stayed on. It’s a totally different story in the areas around me…

Whew! I think I am back… Sheesh… Puter crashed yesterday… It was talking to itself and boy, was I talking to myself… I managed to put all them nasty words that I learned at work into new working arrangements! Oh yeah! I lost my temper, my cool, my mind, my altogethers… considered committing mayhem, manually attacking the whole system, pounding puter system to a pulp, starting an all inclusive burning of the trashed items… I’m sure you have the idea now of what type of hissy fit I threw… lolol
I had planned to make the mini-brooms yesterday… Had the grasses just right and then ‘it’ hit the fan! But before that, I had taken the grasses out of the bread saver (yes, the bread saver)… took it, the saver which was filled with the soaking water, out the side door to dump on the flower bed… Waste not, want not…water is precious!
You already know where this is going, don’t ya! Lolol
Well, there I was, battle gray bathrobe… No teeth (again)…Hair in the basic bird’s nest style…I was caught! Well, Ratz!
The only patch of clear blue sky in the whole territory was right above me! And what was traveling thru that patch? One of my flyguys naturally! I cracked up! LOLOL I really must have presented a real picture of the ‘SSMSS’ (To you new ones, this means the sunny side of the mountain sex symbol!) Right!
I threw kisses and hugs… I know they saw me because I got flashed…TWICE! Them BBSB’s really must love me! Lololol Or figure it is a lot safer to humor me!
The new ones who are reading this must be thoroughly confused by now… lolol… That’s ok tho… bear with me… I only get worse… I worked with cops way too long! Lolol
I was told of a law enforcement network site.. Looked and decided to join … I was accepted but I really don’t know how long I will last before they throw me out!
And, I want to know what happened to January already! It’s bill paying time! It’s the end of the month… where did the middle part go? Grumble mumble…
Let me see here…The Bear is back to work with his wonderful NA stories and legends… Bout time too!
Ooopsie, just looked out window… full blown snow storm.. ceiling zero.. visibility same.
Another thing… I finally received the book that the Marv has tried to get to me for more than two months.. Some serious misadventures here with this package… lololol You should see the front of the large manilla envelope.. Package is sitting in the middle of the kitchen table… unopened… lolol and I have forgotten the title! Whatever it is titled, it just made the best sellers list!
Spudley brought me a gift the other day.. A small stuffed animal… a golden bear. Talk about your basic mud covered critter… Well, I gave little bear a bath, sort of. He’s all cleaned up and dry. (I hung him upside down over the heater in the bath room.) I seem to have developed a terminal case of the ‘cutes’ cause I can already see him in a painting… Gots to finish the panda painting first… or not… lolol
Well kids, I’m off to do breakfast… peanuts and a tootsie pop.. protein and desert, so no fussing at the meems diet! Lolol

You ain’t a gonna believe this one kids…lolol I now have a Tickle Me Elmo sitting on towel rack in the bathroom… along with the up-side-down golden bear! Would these lovely innocent looking green eyes lie to you? (Blink, bat, bat, flutter!) Oh yeah, but not this time!
Here I am .. minding my own business… trying to get the bills paid… I hear a ruckus on the back porch. Ratz! Figured I best go check and what’s going on now. Some day I will learn to leave well enuf alone….or not! Have the giggles now!
I get to the back door and there stands the ‘vicious’ Spudley; sumfin red hanging out of his mouth.. What the HECK? (I am being PC here and trust me it is a struggle… this PC business!) The Spudley has muppetnapped the one and only Tickle Me Elmo! Now what do I do?!?

What are my rights in this situation?

The chickyducks got fed without me having my feet slide out from under me! I have this picture in my mind of me, bright red slippers and battle gray bathrobe, bouncing down the slope to the pen on my chubby buns! red covered feet in the air… robe flapping in the breeze… leaving a trail of mixed feed. The 6 pack + 1 romping merrily along behind me…
Look guys! The emom has invented a new game… BDTHOOB’s … bounce down the hill on our butts! Looks like fun… Tag! You’re it, meems! Can you say: black and blue, the worse for wear?!? Yup it is… Hmmm, wonder why I thought y’all needed to know that! Lolol My brain works in strange and mysterious ways… lolol
2009-2-2 Been up since 0500est fighting with the new cordless keyboard this time… must be the brand of batts I used… Wouldn’t type the letters even tho I pounded on the keys . LOLOL Note the board I’m using now has extra keys … So don’t be surprised at what ever falls out of it… this indentation is new… Now what have I done? I am crackin up! Lolol Anyway I put the 10 year old keyboard on the Dell and it works. IT WORKS! I have cords and wires all over the place but it WORKS!
Well, I finally finished making the Brooms… They are drying! Worked on the Panda again… almost done…

Sheesh, I opened the door to let the critters out… What do I see… Fluffy whites falling all over the place… Beautiful but so dangerous on these mountain roads.
Anyway, get yourselves in here. Get yourselves over by the heat and get warmed up. Y’all know where everything is… and the coffee is fresh… Don’t know what you are doing out in this kind of weather anyway…. Grumble mumble… rotten kids… Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home.
Yesterday was soooooo gorgeous… It got up to 64 degrees and the wind did warm up some…
I went out to the mail box. The sun was out, lots of blue sky with a few white fluffies floating around… I dropped the tail gate on the truck and plopped myself down! No coat nor sweater nor sweatshirt… Just me in my paint clothes.
I heard, then saw, my flyguys up there… On Super Bowl day? Well, if I’d had a choice, I’d a been up there with them! I saw a dozen or more up there getting in their air time. I love them BBSBs… I got flashed… a lot! I crack up… just the thot of a 72 year old woman getting ‘flashed’ starts me to giggling!
This was the first day in a long time that it was warm enuf for me to stay out for more than a few minutes. I sat there and just watched and looked… My flyguys, the 6 pack + 1 and me out there at that moment… An audience of one laffing at the antics of the critters… Doggy gotcha games… and doggy tag… Me giggling at the flashes… waving and sending hugs to mine in the sky…

Red bedroom slippers, battle grey bathrobe, topped with human hair bird's nest seems to be the predominate costume.
Flyguys confused by sign waving LOMOWO who is determined to transmit Emom's Mountain News (including photos) into the cockpits. Strange beeps and noises are coming from airplane computers.screens flashing E-MOM IS HERE. Radar transmission goes haywire when flying over the Retreat. Local authorities are on the lookout and intend to check out the situation.

TWO DIFFERENT DOCTORS' OFFICES
Boy, if this doesn't hit the nail on the head, I don't know what does!
Two patients limp into two different medicalclinics with the same complaint. Both have trouble walking and appear to require a hip replacement.
The FIRST patient is examined within the hour, is x-rayed the same day and has a time booked for surgery the following week.
The SECOND sees his family doctor after waiting 3 weeks for an appointment, Then waits 8 weeks to see a specialist, Then gets an x-ray, which isn't reviewed for another week. And finally has his surgery scheduled for a month from then.
Why the different treatment for the two patients?
The FIRST is a Golden Retriever.
The SECOND is a Senior Citizen.
(If more time is involved, it is a veteran)
Next time take me to a vet!

Well, I may have lost another dog… My big red China has been missing since last nite… I’ve called and whistled for her and she has not come home… She is my alpha female, my second in command… A good dog and very motherly… I depend on her a lot and I think she will not be back…
