New to Group

Hi- newbie here. As everyone here I also love animals! I have 3 cats- my youngest of 3 years is a big beautiful black long haired cat with an attitude! She (Ozzy) is so spoiled! My friend gave her to me when she was this adorable little ball of fur (5 weeks old) She told me it was a male so Ozzy became its name. It wasn't til a few months later she started making these strange noises when we discovered HE was a SHE! She was in heat. So we still kept her name Ozzy which is now short for Ozzalina!! I am also grandma to the most adorable Cocker Spaniel, Bubba, who came into our lives 20 months ago. My daughter who lives downstairs got him at 8 weeks old and we share custody. He stays with me during the day (and then some) while she is at work. My cats won't have anything to do with him but tolerate his existence! He is just the sweetest dog ever. I put a couple of his photos in the group pictures. See ya around soon.

Welcome, we love our critters here, glad you made it here! I have 4 very old dogs, 14.5, 14, 10, and 10yrs old. 4 birds, all in their senior years as well. A tortoise who is at least 45yrs old.

Welcome. I also have a black cat, but she's shorthair. Cocker Spaniels are very sweet.

Yes, Cockers are very sweet. And he's also such a big baby too! That's why he stays with me while my daughter is at work. He hates to be alone. If I have to go somewhere I always take him with me, otherwise he will sit at home and howl and cry! He loves to ride in the car. He's so funny- he could sit in the car outside a store all day and watch all the people go in and out. He loves people! When someone walks by, he wags his tail like crazy as if he knows them. He got to know this one man who brings in the carts at this one grocery store we go to all the time. He always comes over to the car and makes a big fuss over Bubba and gives him doggy treats. We hadn't seen him since the summer, so the other day there he was. When Bubba saw him, he went beserk! He remembered him. When he came over to him I thought Bubba was going to jump out of the window! There's so many comical things about him: I could go on and on. I'll share some more stories later. Welcome! I used to have a blonde Cocker named Earl. He lived to 15yrs. My Sister got a black one last year and named him Kobe. They are sweet pups! I really love reading the posts in this group and everyone is so nice and helpful! Thanks for joining,
