Long Posts

I think it is time to say, that posts more than 2 or 3 paragraphs are way too long. There is a post that is almost a book and very difficult to read. If another one of these books appear, I will delete the post.

Remember the Gettysburg adrress was written on the back of an envelope and is regarded as one of the country's best speechs.

So be brief and to the point.

I second the motion. Post a title and enough stuff to let us know what it's about, then put the rest in the first reply. Better yet, unless you wrote the whole thing, put in a View Link, so that we can go and read the original in its entirety. It's just common courtesy. KC

Yeah, maybe I have ADD or something about some things but when a post is as long as some I've seen I lose interest and move on. If it is broken down into an intro to start and then in smaller portions in even the first couple of reply boxes I read it all.

If we are discussing the post about Jews then I support it wholly. A lack of knowledge of history has allowed those with malignant intent to gain power to the point we may now be over powered. Considering what is now happening in Israel, a country the size of New Jersy, I believe having a knowledge of their history and continued persecution is imperative. I think it's worth the effort and the time to learn.

I agree with you. My post was way too long about the troubles in the Middle East. And as I had promised, I won't write one that long again.
So on behalf of me, SORRY! However, in so writing It was hard to decide what to include and what to leave out. If you print it all out and read it, you will indeed have a very good history of why we are having war in the middle East.
The Videos further explain this as well.

So with all of this being said. EVERYONE...... HAPPY NEW YEAR AND MAY ALL OF YOU PROSPER IN 2009!

This is fine that everyone agrees. Has limiting posts to 2 or 3 paragraphs becomes a CAAG rule?

No. Just don't put the whole thing into the original message. Put the bulk of a long essage in the first reply. Or, if it is a pre-published article, put in a view-link feature, which allows a reader to go to the original article on the web.

If you don't know how to do a view-link, send me a PM and I will go over it with you. It's easy. KC

The problem with VIEW LINK before the election is that many of the web pages linked from here disappeared POOF.
If that happens again after the inauguration then make sure you take a screen shot or copy and paste for future posting if the link goes POOF.

Thanks. That has happened a lot StaycL so I'll make it a habit to use these ideas.

"would love to choke each and every Senator and congressman" Jerry

I wouldn't worry. You won't even be charged a "Hail,Mary" for that. Probably just have to cross yourself.
