It is Bald Eagle watch time here in Eastern Iowa. Because the Mississippi is frozen the birds have limited access to the fish. Our dam provides an open water area and our steep bluffs provide the nesting area. This allows for a concentration of the birds and makes it easier to see them live and in full glory. The only problem is usually it is so cold here that few will venture out and enjoy the view. This is a stock photo of the great bird in action.
