Catholic School girls nightmare
OK, I hope no one is offended by this, but I thought it was hysterical!

We had a "hunky" young priest at our parish for awhile. The girls practically swooned as he shot hoops with the guys in the school yard.

You know, we did too. He really made great contact with the teens in our parish. I think if you want to keep the teens you HAVE to develope a relationship with them. He drove to the CYO dances, since none of us had our own cars. They probably can't do anything like that anymore, with all that has happened. This one priest probably kept all of us involed with the church. All of the kids from grade school and into high school are still practicing Catholics. I believe he had a lot to do with that.

He certainly did. We had a young priest in N.O. for religion class who sat
on the edge of the desk giving lessons and saying damn every now and then.
We thought he was soooo cool. He is now Monsignor and was the parish priest
at St. Louis Cathedral in the FQ last I heard.....
And while living there recently I had friends who were the sister and mother of
Father "What a waste", another priest. That's what they called him to his face;
he was so cute. Great personality too.
I met WAW a few years ago at a wedding reception and he told us the reason he had
to reach in his pocket during Mass was because his mobile was on vibrate and his friends were
calling him from the ski slopes (drinking no less) and wondering when he was
getting there. LOL
They're just people who went to a seminary. They get a bad rap.

Maybe this guy was Lutheran? If I were her, I would have jumped his bones and asked later. There's always confession.
The catholic church, namely priests have been getting slammed pretty hard these last few years. And with good reason, but it's important to realize not all priests are bad. And not all priests look that good either. :)

The handsome, young priests in my parishes over the years have always been able to keep the teens involved in the Church, whereas the older priests couldn't. Teens are driven by youth and good looks, so it's natural that they gravitate toward them. I agree with VB that all priests aren't child predators.
