Cash Sedan Chair

I am stealing this idea from another room , which in turn stole the idea from the TV show Cash Cab . Since we are devoted to history , cash cab seemed to modern , so I opted for a more ancient and classical mode of transportation . It works like this , I ask a question and the person who comes up with the correct answer first gets to ask the next question , preferably relating to archaeology and history .

OK. Khaki has long been recognized as a useful color for soldiers to blend into the background in arid landscapes. In which dispute (war) did the British High Command finally recognize it's usefulness and made it part of the soldiers' uniform?

Correct Dirck even though khaki uniforms had been worn in Abyssinia, Afghanistan and the Sudan before. Khaki was a color that provided the fighting soldier with suitable camouflage and helped them in the guerrilla-like warfare in the rolling hills of the Transvaal.

1.Bursa 2.Edirne ( formerly Adrianople ) 3. Constantinople ( Istanbul ) I found it interesting that the Ottoman capitol was already in Europe at Edirne , nearly 100 years before Constantinople fell .
