I just found this group. Thanks for asking members what they think. The first thing I do is check for a PM and see if I have any spam. Next, I take time to read some of the posts and boom the ones of interest to me. I do not have time to read posts in all the groups so I read posts in certain groups. That's about it.

I normally see if I have PMs and then normally go straight to Drawing and Painting group.
First thing I go to my profile page and check the posts my friends have made.
I'll read certain articles that capture my interest, after checking my PMs.
I don't Boom so much anymore. I've seen too often that people reveal incredibly intimate details of their lives and the lives of their families in their groups, seeking advice from friends. Next thing you know, someone Booms the post, and someone Booms it again, and all of a sudden those intimate details are out there for the entire readership to see. It reminds me a bit of sensationalistic journalism. I'm as much of a voyeur as the next person, but it just doesn't feel right in some cases.

Addendum after thinking about it a bit... now THERE'S an idea. Have your programmers rewire the Boom function so that the original poster can decide whether the post is Boomable or not. I suspect this will get some people to open up within their groups who are now holding back, because they don't want to share their thoughts outside of those specific arenas.
