I still love to run around barefoot, and the moment I get home I take my shoes off. In the country, I don't wear shoes, unless I go into high grass. I don't want a snake to bite me, so I wear these really high knee boots. I loved go-go boots and danced in them a lot.
I love horseback riding without a saddle or shoes on. I usually just hold on to the mane. I always feel that a harness hurts the beautiful horses.
Have a great day Tweetie.
Yes, I'm a country girl at heart and still go barefooted. Hubby on the other hand was raised in West Texas. They never went barefooted because of goat heads. His feet are as smooth as a baby's bottom. I kid him all the time!
I only walked barefoot ,in certain places in upstate NY.
At home,I always walk around barefoot.
We had a summer cottage on a lake when I was a kid the the road behind the cottage was gravel. Every year a new load of gravel was dumped and the sharp stones hurt our bare feet when we tried to walk on it.
It was a badge of courage (or stupidity) by the end of the summer of walking barefoot to be able to walk on the gravel normally and not "ouch and complain." Of course then the problem was trying to get our toughened feet into shoes again to go back to school in September.
