Starting Over

When the crisis is over and you are left with rebuilding a new life many of us get "stuck" and overwhelmed.

What do you think is the very first step in starting over?

bostonannie,

Are you really in cold, snowy Boston? A Patriot's fan? Sure that the Celtics will rebound? I always describe myself as a not-too-proper-Bostonian...

The first place to start rebuilding a life is with a plan. Just like a new home needs to be created in the mind of the architect, your new life needs to be designed in your mind.

What will it look like? What will you be doing? Who will you be?

It's all up to you. You can create in your mind whatever life you'd like to live, and whatever person you'd like to be.

Then, like the architect, you create the plan on paper.

What will it take to build your new life? New friends? A new career? Simplicity? Health?

You're never to old or too ill or too hurt to begin from right now.

Good luck! Let me know where you are in this process...I'd love to share your journey.

Damn I hate starting over! It's pretty sad right now, there are so many people out there scrambling just to make ends meet, not to mention after divorce. Now it's just simply trying to survive to hold on to their homes. You put one foot in front of the other..along with the above, you stay positive, and you pray for help from above.

And yes, also with a lot of luck it can and will turn around for most..but only you can make it happen. Good Luck to so many in their struggles right now. My heart goes out to you as I have a few frieds who are dealing with the same.

Starting over is not fun but unfortunately is part of life. The saying is "the only constant in life is change". Things do change, whether we like it or not. Putting one foot in front of the other, remaining focussed and determined but also keeping your eyes and ears open is the key.
