"Go Green Holidays" tips

Why buy when you can save tons of money this year for gifts.

Here is a great tip to help "Go Green Holidays".

Stuff a bag or more with anything you don't need anymore!

Contact all your neighbors and hold a "Go Green Holidays" swap. Elect where to hold the swap and send out invites to come and bring a bag of used donations including:

Any items that can be re wrapped as a gift
Gently used toys
Gently used school supplies
Can goods
Gently used holiday trimmings you don't need anymore (Christmas tree trimmings, house holiday trimming, wrapping paper, and more)
Small kitchen items and household items
And most important turn in those coats you don't wear anymore

Sort the items. Bring a bag and stuff it with items you can use.

Any clothing items left over can be donated to a homeless shelter.

Any other items can be donated to a family in your area that needs help.

Contact your local fire company. They are usually involved with helping families in the area for the holiday.

PS. you still have time to post donations here at eons...:)

We need Sock for USA Homeless Veterans.

Please contact me by PM over at my eons profile for more information!

This is a long term voluntary action to help all homeless Veterans get a clean pair of socks across the USA.

When you see a pair of socks please remember to help.

Find out when they have stand downs for homeless vets, you can ask any VA in your area. That is were the homeless go. You can find out were their homeless are at their VA to donate more socks. If you live in the Long Beac, CA area It is at the [oer in the back of the nursing home. Do not give it to the VA its self they will never get it. Or the red cross the homeless vets are not a prioity with them.
