winter project
Well it's getting cold in the north east, the leaves are gone and the rains have come (soon to be snow). So I'll be putting my canoes away for the winter and begin my winter project, MAKE MY OWN CANOE. I found a lumber yard selling yellow cedar (5/16" x 4") and bought a bunch of it. It was rather cheap. Some of the clearest cedar I've seen. I'm thinking of making a 16 foot lake canoe that can be used solo and carry enough gear for a week. Been searching the net for plans but cannot decide what I want yet. I do have some requirements though; fiberglass shell, ribs, 50lbs max weight. The rest is open for discussion.
