216 Browser-Safe Colors

Cloford.com provides a great diagram and table to identify and provide hex numbers for the 216 browser-safe colors ... the only colors that can be displayed reliably across all browsers and operating systems. (i.e. the colors will not dither or band when used to display areas of flat color). Recommended for your "Favorites" file! CLICK HERE to check it out!

How do I change my color background to a purple hue? I read all the colors, but how do I choose one and use it?

On your profile page go to the history section and click on the 'edit my history' link.
It looks like you already made some changes so look for this - "background-color: #99FFFF".
The background-color you're using now is #99ffff and to change it all you have to do is change that hex code. Lee posted a good link for the color codes. Or you might want to try this one. The color swatches are a little larger and the hex number is on top of it. Select a color you like and type those numbers in place of the one you're using now.

Lee and Caylinn,
What would I do without you? Thank you for your patience with me. I am so proud everytime I learn something new.
Now I can start on learning some other things.

OK, now that I know what the colors are (great chart, BTW), how to I change text size and color in messages?
