Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Yes I rember that story and it is true. I used to hate and to feed the wrong wolf and all I did was to hurt myself as well as others.

The old time Natives had a saying when talking to three people. One is a person they disagree with but had respect for the other was a person they agree with, the last one was a person that they had no respect for . To the one he said i hear what you say the other he said i agree with what you say and the the third what you say is of no importance to me.
