My heart goes out to you badylady. You are going threw so much and yet you have stayed in the race to live a life that is both testing your faith and bring you threw. I cannot say I know how you feel but I do know this. You gave me so much when I was down. Your words still run threw my head. I have not forgot the promise I made to you about starting my own business. Now that I have a job the possibility's for me are endless. My prayers are with you and your family this day and everyday.
I just want to thank you and bless you for being a loving and caring woman who took the time to lift another sister up.
THANK YOU
You are an incredible woman! You thank ME for what you believe I've done for you but you don't even realize how much your support has meant to me. You've been steady and unwavering ever since you joined this group. No matter what's happening, you always take the time to send me your prayers. I can't say that I've done the same for you - I've let my own issues overwhelm me to the point that I've often forgotten to reach out to you.
You know how strong we are. We've always been a strong race and an even stronger gender. No one can keep a black woman down. We keep it going, up or down, flush or straight. It's been a long fight for us, but we've managed to keep our families (and our senses!) together for almost 500 years. We've got at least another 500 years in us! This empire will fall before us SisterGirls will!
Thanks again for your continued support. I'm going to keep on pushin', as I know you will. Let's keep on lifting each other up.
Much love,
LL
badlady404,
My deepest sympathies are with you and your family. I too just lost an aunt to liver cancer in September. Yes, it is one thing after another, but we are decendants from the strongest, strong. We will make it with God's grace.
Thanks for enviting me to join the Sister Girls. I have been looking for like-minds to talk to.

I came to this site following the seductive captions "Networking for Professional Women" and "Networking to Find Work". What I find is women talking about their illness, women talking about being done with the work force. What's up with that? Many women need support to get back out there and earn a living in these times. If you all are ready to turn over and die, is this the place for you?
The climate is created by the moderator. This site will not be here for long as it is! Sharon
To "lillybylake",
I'm sorry that you felt weird in our group. We are open to all women, no matter what color or country of origin. And you are welcome to open topics which YOU find of interest. That way the others can follow your lead. I do not "micro-manage" this group for that very reason. I want everyone to write about and share the things which impact their lives.
I have an open spot for a Co-Moderator. How about becoming one and help move the group in the direction which you think will make it more interesting for us all?
Our group has been one of the more popular all-female groups because of the support we provide for each other. I'm glad that you're blessed enough to have a good job or the man that you want or haven't lost a loved one or not suffering from a chronic illness or not caring for an elderly parent or any of the other issues which come along with aging and just LIVING.
Thanks for your time and consideration. I hope to hear from you soon about being a group leader. The SisterGirl Network will be here as long as there are real women on this earth. We'd like you to be a part of it but, if not, we understand.
Take care,
Linda Lou
You are in all of our prayers. I to have not been as active as before because of my job and the hours. I will do my best to keep motivating those in the group.
Again my prayers and those here in the group are with you and your family. Be safe and have a Blessed Holiday.
My heart goes out to you. I feel for your loss and you are in my prayers. It is so good to hear from you. I have not been in the room for a while and jamma has had to handle a lot. I will try to do better this year! I lost my mother Christmas Day to cancer and am learning to deal with that loss, so I do understand how ya feel. Hope your back is doing better! Look forward to chatting with you and all the divas more in 09!
Hugs,
Deb
