I'm sorry, but that post isn't available at the moment
Thank you for the message, Carole. I get a lot of sunlight, during the spring, summer and fall, but in the winter lots less, naturally. A doctor prescribed Vitamin D a couple of years ago, and it helps noticeably, with my mood in the winter. I am happy no matter what! I take it in drop form, that is available by prescription only, and has no fillers of any kind.
People with GI Tract problems have trouble absorbing minerals and vitamins. Vitamin D absorption problems show up in light skin or skin that doesn't tan. My daughter and wife both have absorption issues with Vit. D due to celiac disease. Both are on supplements for Vitamin D (2000 iu of D3) as well as treatment to improve GI health. (10 grams of L-glutamine per day). This also reduces inflammation.
My hasband and I take lots of vitamins and we upped our Vitamin D a couple years ago after I read an article by Andrew Weil about it. My husband has colon cancer in his family so we are interested in anything that reduces the chance of that happening to him.
Vitamin D is supposed to protect you from several kinds of cancer.

I lived in Florida for almost 20 years, until last year, I moved to Metro Atlanta. I got very depressed last winter. So, this winter I am prepared with my vitamin D. I hope it works.
