Sauerbratten-
3-4 pound rump, or london broil roast
flour and 2 T oil, to brown roast
1 1/2 cups beef broth
3-4 whole cloves
3 white onions, sliced thin
1 tsp cracked black pepper
2 tsp salt
3 bay leaves
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
2 T lemon juice
2 T ketchup
6 gingersnaps, crushed NOTE-add these the last 30 minutes!

Brown roast in skillet with a little oil. Add to crock pot and cook, covered, for 6-8 hours. Add gingersnaps the last 30 minutes, as this makes the gravy. Serve with spatzles.

Cola Roast

1 roast (cheaper the better!)
1 package dry onion soup mix
1 can cola, regular

Place the roast in the crockpot. Shake a package of onion soup mix over
it and dump in a can of cola. Cook on low all day long.
Note: I like mine falling apart, so I leave it in for 12 hours.
This is a "no-fail" delicious recipe!"

A very simple recipe is my favorite.

4 Beef Cube Steak
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1/2 can of water.
Put in crock pot and cook on high about 2 hours. Stir and then
cook for about 3 -4 more hours. Until meat is done.
Serve with mashed potatoes, veggie and a bread.
