My sister is not well :-(
Mom noticed Lottie favoring her right hind leg yesterday. She first noticed it when she was going to take us for a walk. We usually jump up on the couch so mom can reach us better to hook the leash on us. Well, Lottie didn't seem able to jump up. Then when we went for a short walk Lottie was walking a little stiff legged and soon she stopped and was holding her right hind leg up. She wouldn't walk any further and mom picked her up and carried her home.
We are going to take her to the Vet tomorrow if she is not better. She couldn't jump up on the bed last night, and mom tried to help her but she ran and hid. Lottie confided in me that she was afraid mom would give her some of that "medicine" she is always giving us when she finds something wrong. Sometimes she pours medicine in our ears, sometimes she puts it in Lottie's eyes and sometimes she mixes it with peanut butter and lets us eat it. This makes Lottie nervous.
She finally tricked Lottie into coming close enough to pick her up and put her on the bed but early this morning, after we went potty, Lottie hid again so mom and I went back to bed without her. Mom gave her a nice blanket to lie on though.
The Vet recently told mom that when some doggies are born without a tail they can have hip problems, but Lottie never showed any signs of this until now. That girl could jump really high to catch a ball and could always jump on the couch or bed. Mom said she might look for some stairs for her to get onto the bed with, but Lottie would have to learn how to use them. Maybe the Vet can just give her a shot or some pills to make her all better.
Keep your paws crossed that my little sister doesn't have anything serious wrong with her, okay?
