My sister is not well :-(

Mom noticed Lottie favoring her right hind leg yesterday. She first noticed it when she was going to take us for a walk. We usually jump up on the couch so mom can reach us better to hook the leash on us. Well, Lottie didn't seem able to jump up. Then when we went for a short walk Lottie was walking a little stiff legged and soon she stopped and was holding her right hind leg up. She wouldn't walk any further and mom picked her up and carried her home.

We are going to take her to the Vet tomorrow if she is not better. She couldn't jump up on the bed last night, and mom tried to help her but she ran and hid. Lottie confided in me that she was afraid mom would give her some of that "medicine" she is always giving us when she finds something wrong. Sometimes she pours medicine in our ears, sometimes she puts it in Lottie's eyes and sometimes she mixes it with peanut butter and lets us eat it. This makes Lottie nervous.

She finally tricked Lottie into coming close enough to pick her up and put her on the bed but early this morning, after we went potty, Lottie hid again so mom and I went back to bed without her. Mom gave her a nice blanket to lie on though.

The Vet recently told mom that when some doggies are born without a tail they can have hip problems, but Lottie never showed any signs of this until now. That girl could jump really high to catch a ball and could always jump on the couch or bed. Mom said she might look for some stairs for her to get onto the bed with, but Lottie would have to learn how to use them. Maybe the Vet can just give her a shot or some pills to make her all better.

Keep your paws crossed that my little sister doesn't have anything serious wrong with her, okay?

Oh Nipsy I'm putten my paws together that it's nothen serious with Lottie. Tell Lottie the stairs are really easy to climb. Your mom can get those soft ones from Walter Drake, but tell her there are two sizes someasure the height. She said to tell your mom, the ramp might be better if there is something wrong with Lottie's hip cus it's easier than climing. Mom said she will hunt around for the web site where she bought my ramps from. Yep, I got two ramps, one set of steps and four stools. No, I'm not spoiled, I'm just allowed all over the place in the house and I'm only 12 in. high. ;-)
Let us know how Lottie is, hope it's noten serious.

Thanks guys and gals. Lottie jumped up on the couch this morning so we didn't take her to the Vet, and tonight she tried to play ball. Mom didn't throw it very high or very far but after about four throws she quit. Hopefully she will get a little better each day. Mom thinks it is her knee because she has trouble squatting to pee. She has to hold that leg out stiff. That subject makes me blush a little but it splains things.

Thanks for the concern. Hope all the critters in this group that are having problems get better every day too!!

We're crossing our paws for Lottie to get better and not have to go to the vet. I don't like going to the vet...I go so often because of my health issue. But, I like to get my medicine in Liversausage. Maybe Lottie would like that better than peanut butter.
