Beginning or End of the Road?

Quote Graphics from FunWhenBored.Com!

As I grow older, I find myself looking back at my life a lot.Coulda, Shoulda, didn't. One can spend their "golden years" regretting all the didn'ts, but I have decided to spend the rest of my life trying to make up for ignorant youth. I can't make the past go away or do it over again, but I can certainly become the person I always wanted to be. Maybe not physically, educationally or other things, but I can control how I react to situations. I can be the wife I couldn't be in my youth, a better mother, a perfect grandma, a better daughter, a better person. And isn't that really what life is? A path from beginning to end, with bumps and ditches and roadblocks along the way, but as you wind your way along that path, you become more adept at avoiding the obstacles, and take the time to enjoy the beauty of the walk. I wish for all of us to find our inner self and enjoy the path we take to the end of the road. Have a wonderful journey everyone down that winding road of life, I know I will do my best to enjoy every step of the way. Hugs, Lori

I think your attitude is great. It is kind of like the "half full or half empty" glass perspective. I think that you see yours as even more than half full.

Most of us do learn while traveling life's path. I wish that it came easier or sooner, but I am grateful that I have learned even at this late date. I am trying to enjoy all of it much more than when I was younger.

Thanks for your thoughtful post.

I feel the same way. Sometimes, I think I worked so much that I wasn't the best mom to my son so I try so hard to be a better grandmother now & mother. I think as we travel down the road of life, sometimes, we look back and do relaize if we had a chance to redo this or that we would. But, we can't go back & walk thru old footsteps only make new ones and better ones.
Our journey sometimes is hectic and all we can do , is do the best we can.
Hope all of us live long time, to have long journeys the rest of our Golden yrs.

I am enjoying my journey. I use to look back with regrets on the "didn'ts" but now I realize that I did the best I could with the knowledge I had. I got through each situation with strength to get through the next.

A strong woman knows she has the strength to get through the journey but a woman of strength knows it's the journey that makes her strong.

Let's all enjoy our journey!
